The Core Values of PWBC
OUR CORE VALUES ARE
|
| |
|
- We are followers of Jesus - it is He who owns and builds the
church.
more
- We believe the Holy Spirit is active in
our lives and church - leading, gifting and working supernaturally throughout
all we do and are - prayer is primary in all we do.
The work of the Holy Spirit in the believer produces the fruit
and the gifts for the continued growth of the church. This work is tremendously
powerful in that it changes lives. This work takes place continuously, but God
in His grace and sovereignty also brings powerful experiences that advance this
work very effectively and sometimes very suddenly. These experiences, under
Christian discernment, are to be actively sought as being fully in God's will
to make us more like Christ. We expect to see the Spirit of God moving
supernaturally in our midst, with healing, miracles, and signs & wonders.
We seek to encourage and help every member to discover and develop their
particular gifting/ministry within the body of the church. back
- To take the love of God and salvation on offer to the
community of Paddock Wood and beyond, affirming the value of family life.
more
- Believer's Baptism is the norm for all new Christians.
more
- God delights in our worship, praise and the breaking of bread
together and all opportunities for intimate contact with God, responding to His
wonderful love, and to strengthen our relationships together.
more
- The Bible, its teaching and exposition; the preaching of the
Word of God is our primary source of inspiration, revelation and growth.
more
- Living in the good of God's grace with joy and thanksgiving -
embracing the freedom that comes from newness of life.
more
- We, believers, are the church - we are committed to each
other, more than structures, denomination or traditions - we welcome everyone.
more
- Cell groups providing the foundational building blocks of
fellowship - worship, discipleship, pastoral care, friendship, fun, growth, and
evangelism.
more
- We believe in a plurality of leaders, and the priesthood of
all believers - all members of the body working together, through their own
gifting and ability, to build the church.
