vision & values

  1. We are followers of Jesus - it is He who owns and builds the church.
    more
  2. We believe the Holy Spirit is active in our lives and church - leading, gifting and working supernaturally throughout all we do and are - prayer is primary in all we do.
    more
  3. To take the love of God and salvation on offer to the community of Paddock Wood and beyond, affirming the value of family life.
    more
  4. Believer's Baptism is the norm for all new Christians.
    more
  5. God delights in our worship, praise and the breaking of bread together and all opportunities for intimate contact with God, responding to His wonderful love, and to strengthen our relationships together.
    more
  6. The Bible, its teaching and exposition; the preaching of the Word of God is our primary source of inspiration, revelation and growth.
    more
  7. Living in the good of God's grace with joy and thanksgiving - embracing the freedom that comes from newness of life.
    more
  8. We, believers, are the church - we are committed to each other, more than structures, denomination or traditions - we welcome everyone.
    more
  9. Cell groups providing the foundational building blocks of fellowship - worship, discipleship, pastoral care, friendship, fun, growth, and evangelism.
We believe that Cell groups are foundational for the life of the believer, to facilitate growth individually and corporately - with a variety of benefits: pastoral care network; friendship, fun and relationship building; discipleship; experimenting and experiencing new ways of worship; expecting God to intervene in real-life issues; application of what God is saying to us; practical Christianity; reaching the not-yet-saved; contributing in new ways in a non-threatening environment; releasing cells to serve in specific tasks.
    Cell Values are: ·
Jesus at the centre - only He can change people
Every member ministry - all involved when gathered
Personal growth - every member taking responsibility for their own personal holiness and growth in their walk with Christ
Multiplication - spreading the gospel and making disciples
Sacrificial love - Jesus' challenge to us all - love is a commitment
    Community, friendship and fun together
Discipleship: nurturing, teaching, training and releasing.
Honesty - the lifeblood of the community and the doorway to Christian growth.
It is nearly impossible to nurture committed, effective relationships in the context of a large group. So the Cell becomes the place where the community and relationship, ministry and evangelism develop most naturally and powerfully (Acts 2:42-47). We expect a desire by all to receive pastoral care which seeks to be individual and precise within the safety of a loving and accepting body - valuing each individual and valuing the body of Christ - seeking to bring about change and maturity - wanting to help people belong. We must always be aware not to dominate, control or manipulate; we seek to love the unlovely. The pastoral care, primarily coming from the network of cells, based on the New Testament biblical description of the early church relationships being built as they met in their homes.

  10. We believe in a plurality of leaders, and the priesthood of all believers - all members of the body working together, through their own gifting and ability, to build the church.
